You may have noticed that some things are missing from the site. I deleted a bunch of stuff, including the joke database, the animals wearing clothes page, and the bad websites pages. I wanted to get rid of lists and collections of stuff, especially stuff I didn't do. Basically, I'm retooling the site to be made up only of things that I do or say or write or create, and dropping all the pictures and jokes and stuff that I just collected and lumped together on a page. There are tons of sites that do that, better and more comprehensively than I've done it. I made a new page for projects that I've done or am doing, things that aren't part of the site proper. And finally, I'm going to do a redesign soon (yes, another redesign), when I have some time.

Update: I took all the jokes in the joke database and put them in a zip file (854,747 bytes).

Update: I removed all the weird colors and stuff from peoples' comments, it was driving me crazy. Sorry.

Church signs too!? NOOOOOOOO!
Posted by Ryland :: :: :: Mar 24, 2004 10:01am
Church signs are on the church sign generator site now.
Posted by Karnack :: :: :: Mar 24, 2004 10:50am
Ryland, kudos on updates. Are you ever going to address default fon't colors? (Is my request getting annoying?)
Posted by Ryland :: :: :: Mar 24, 2004 11:25am
What's to address? It's black. Black text on a white background.
Posted by Joe Rivera :: :: :: Mar 24, 2004 12:36pm
Those in favor of purple font on pink background raise your hands.
Posted by Joe Rivera :: :: :: Mar 24, 2004 07:27pm
ooooohhh....how pretty. he, he.
Posted by Ryland :: :: :: Mar 24, 2004 07:49pm
You get your wish, Joe, from now on your comments are purple text on pink background.
Posted by Matt :: :: :: Mar 25, 2004 10:49am
I want my own personalized comments, too. After all I've done for you I feel that I deserve this small nod. Maybe my comments could be in a Gothic script, or have a picture of a dragon?
Posted by Ryland :: :: :: Mar 25, 2004 11:26am
Not only do you get a dragon, you get TROGDOR! BURNINATING THE COMMENTS!
Posted by Matt :: :: :: Mar 25, 2004 11:26am
FUCKIN' A! IT'S TROGDOR!!!!
Posted by David S :: :: :: Mar 25, 2004 10:30pm
What about me? I want to be special also. Something loud, annoying and gay, just like me.
Posted by Ryland :: :: :: Mar 25, 2004 11:05pm
I made it look like your website. Kind of.
Posted by David S :: :: :: Mar 25, 2004 11:50pm
Cool! Purple is one of my favorite colors. (=P
Posted by David S :: :: :: Mar 30, 2004 06:45pm
Hey!!! What happened to my special formatting? I'm not special anymore! =C
Posted by Joe Rivera :: :: :: Mar 25, 2004 04:54pm
I guess you didn't read the sarcasm in my comment, if I wasn't so secure with my manhood I'd ask you to remove that color scheme. :) Now if I'd known we could ask for icons, I too would of asked for something cool like Matt's dragon.
Posted by Joe Rivera :: :: :: Mar 25, 2004 04:56pm
Arrrggghhhhh....he's coded it into the comments...
Posted by Joe Rivera :: :: :: Mar 25, 2004 05:02pm
Damn, foiled! My CSS markup didn't override your evil color scheme entirely.
Posted by JR :: :: :: Mar 25, 2004 05:14pm
He,he guess who Ryland.
Posted by Ryland :: :: :: Mar 25, 2004 05:37pm
DEFEATED!

I just made it for this posting, your comments will look normal on other postings under 'Joe Rivera'.
Posted by Joe Rivera :: :: :: Mar 25, 2004 10:22pm
Just checking. Arrrggghhhh.....Liar!
Posted by Ryland :: :: :: Mar 25, 2004 10:24pm
I said for this posting, dork. All your comments in this thread will be pink/purple, but in other threads they'll be normal.
Posted by Joe Rivera :: :: :: Mar 26, 2004 02:48pm
Oh, okay...I'll enjoy this while it lasts.......weeeeeeeeeee.....wooooooo
Posted by Karnack :: :: :: Mar 25, 2004 01:14am
My windows color scheme is green text on a black background such that when I look at your site, the background remains black, but the text is also black.
Posted by Ryland :: :: :: Mar 25, 2004 01:23am
I have the background color set to white. Look at the source of this page if you don't believe me. What more can I do?
Posted by Karnack :: :: :: Mar 25, 2004 01:31am
Oh, you must have done this sometime when I wasn't looking. After I mentioned it the first time, it was still defaulting to windows background with black text, but now it appears just fine. I was always changing my color scheme when I was goofing around on the 'net.
Boy, egg on my face. Sorry about that.
Posted by E_B_A :: :: :: Mar 26, 2004 08:05am
I want all my comments pre-translated into leet-speak. I want all of my text to blink, even in IE and other non-blinking browsers. I want an irritating midi file to play as people read my comments. I want All of my comments to do that SwItCh CaPiTaLiSaTiOn ThInG that is so so cool and hip. And I'm holding hostages until my demands are met.

I'm kidding Ryland. If you do those things to my comments, I will have to kill you. Slowly. With an egg beater to the scrot.
Posted by Karnack :: :: :: Mar 26, 2004 11:57am
Wouldn't a wire-whisk to the scrote be more slow and painful? Could you kill someone by simply attacking their scrote, or would you have to move it to other places?
Posted by David S :: :: :: Mar 26, 2004 05:07pm
I don't think you could kill someone that way, but they would probably wish they were dead when you got done.

Also, I don't think a wire-whisk would accomplish the task. They are usually too flimsy and they don't work the way an eggbeater does.

Oh no! Mental image! I'm gonna have nightmares tonight. Thanks guys.
Posted by David S :: :: :: Mar 26, 2004 04:54pm
What about converting all your text to binary? That would be so cool and only true geeks would be able to say, "01001001 00100000 01101011 01101110 01101111 01110111 00100000 01110111 01101000 01100001 01110100 00100000 01111001 01101111 01110101 00100000 01101101 01100101 01100001 01101110 00101110."
