You may have noticed that some things are missing from the site. I deleted a bunch of stuff, including the joke database, the animals wearing clothes page, and the bad websites pages. I wanted to get rid of lists and collections of stuff, especially stuff I didn't do. Basically, I'm retooling the site to be made up only of things that I do or say or write or create, and dropping all the pictures and jokes and stuff that I just collected and lumped together on a page. There are tons of sites that do that, better and more comprehensively than I've done it. I made a new page for projects that I've done or am doing, things that aren't part of the site proper. And finally, I'm going to do a redesign soon (yes, another redesign), when I have some time. Update: I took all the jokes in the joke database and put them in a zip file (854,747 bytes). Update: I removed all the weird colors and stuff from peoples' comments, it was driving me crazy. Sorry.

Ryland, kudos on updates. Are you ever going to address default fon't colors? (Is my request getting annoying?)
What's to address? It's black. Black text on a white background.
Posted by Joe Rivera ::
Those in favor of purple font on pink background raise your hands.
Posted by Joe Rivera ::
ooooohhh....how pretty. he, he.
You get your wish, Joe, from now on your comments are purple text on pink background.
I want my own personalized comments, too. After all I've done for you I feel that I deserve this small nod. Maybe my comments could be in a Gothic script, or have a picture of a dragon?
Not only do you get a dragon, you get TROGDOR! BURNINATING THE COMMENTS!
FUCKIN' A! IT'S TROGDOR!!!!
What about me? I want to be special also. Something loud, annoying and gay, just like me.
I made it look like your website. Kind of.
Cool! Purple is one of my favorite colors. (=P
Hey!!! What happened to my special formatting? I'm not special anymore! =C
Posted by Joe Rivera ::
I guess you didn't read the sarcasm in my comment, if I wasn't so secure with my manhood I'd ask you to remove that color scheme. :) Now if I'd known we could ask for icons, I too would of asked for something cool like Matt's dragon.
Posted by Joe Rivera ::
Arrrggghhhhh....he's coded it into the comments...
Posted by Joe Rivera ::
Damn, foiled! My CSS markup didn't override your evil color scheme entirely.
Posted by JR ::
He,he guess who Ryland.
DEFEATED!
I just made it for this posting, your comments will look normal on other postings under 'Joe Rivera'. Posted by Joe Rivera ::
Just checking. Arrrggghhhh.....Liar!
I said for this posting, dork. All your comments in this thread will be pink/purple, but in other threads they'll be normal.
Posted by Joe Rivera ::
Oh, okay...I'll enjoy this while it lasts.......weeeeeeeeeee.....wooooooo

My windows color scheme is green text on a black background such that when I look at your site, the background remains black, but the text is also black.
I have the background color set to white. Look at the source of this page if you don't believe me. What more can I do?
Posted by Karnack ::
Oh, you must have done this sometime when I wasn't looking. After I mentioned it the first time, it was still defaulting to windows background with black text, but now it appears just fine. I was always changing my color scheme when I was goofing around on the 'net.
Boy, egg on my face. Sorry about that. I want all my comments pre-translated into leet-speak. I want all of my text to blink, even in IE and other non-blinking browsers. I want an irritating midi file to play as people read my comments. I want All of my comments to do that SwItCh CaPiTaLiSaTiOn ThInG that is so so cool and hip. And I'm holding hostages until my demands are met.
I'm kidding Ryland. If you do those things to my comments, I will have to kill you. Slowly. With an egg beater to the scrot. Posted by Karnack ::
Wouldn't a wire-whisk to the scrote be more slow and painful? Could you kill someone by simply attacking their scrote, or would you have to move it to other places?
I don't think you could kill someone that way, but they would probably wish they were dead when you got done.
Also, I don't think a wire-whisk would accomplish the task. They are usually too flimsy and they don't work the way an eggbeater does. Oh no! Mental image! I'm gonna have nightmares tonight. Thanks guys. What about converting all your text to binary? That would be so cool and only true geeks would be able to say, "01001001 00100000 01101011 01101110 01101111 01110111 00100000 01110111 01101000 01100001 01110100 00100000 01111001 01101111 01110101 00100000 01101101 01100101 01100001 01101110 00101110."

Get Drunk And Vote 4 McCain
Voting for McCain, but still don't feel like he's conservative enough? Have a drink to ease the pain. This may be the funniest (or at least, the most *intentionally* funny) conservative blog I've ever seen; they post news stories and tidbits and rate them by how many cocktails it takes to ease the pain of John McCain's incipient Alzheimer's, maladroitness, and closet liberalism.
